SCHOOL COUNCIL

St Joseph’s School Council are a hard working team of dedicated children.
The School Council are very busy and pride themselves on making a positive impact on their school.

The School Council is made up of three elected students from Year 6 (Treasurer, Chairman and Secretary) and two students from each year who are responsible for holding meetings in their class and feeding back to the School Council. We meet on a fortnightly basis with Mrs Cook and carry out tasks in between meetings. Any relevant issues raised by us are voiced by Mrs Cook at staff meetings.

The School Council offers children an opportunity to have their say about a wide range of issues in school. The Council have been involved in lots of activities ranging from fundraising, traffic safety, presenting annual talent shows and holding coffee mornings for Parents.

Check out our School Council blog to find minutes of School Council meetings, previous and current projects! If you have any ideas for the School Council, look for a rep who will be happy to bring ideas forward to the next meeting!

ECO-COUNCIL

Eco-Council is a group of children chosen by other members of the class to represent the school.

There are two students from each year group who are responsible for attending meetings and feeding back to their classes.

We hold meetings every two weeks to discuss different issues including recycling, energy, environment and other things like fair trade. We think how we can improve our school environment by being more 'Green'.
