Guided Reading during Remote Learning.

At St Joseph's, we believe that reading is fundamental to learning. To be confident that our children are receiving a quality reading diet, Guided Reading sessions are taught via zoom. This ensures a purposeful learning environment catering for each individual child.

We have bought into a fantastic new reading scheme in school called 'The Bug Club' by Pearsons. To ensure consistency between home reading and guided reading,  our online reading resources are also from this collection. The books are matched to the children's  phonic (Letters and Sound) stage or their reading band.
